First, download the StartupPal app to your mobile phone from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store. Once installed, open the app, create your account or log in, and you can begin creating your video pitch presentation.

StartupPal helps founders create professional video pitch presentations for investors. You can use the app to generate AI pitch scripts, review startup insights, use a teleprompter, record your video, edit it, preview it, and then save or share it depending on your subscription plan.

After opening the app, click Generate Script. You will then choose the type of investor you want to create the pitch for, such as an Angel Investor or VC.

StartupPal AI generates:

  • a 1-minute elevator pitch

  • a 3-minute investor pitch

  • product insights

  • competitor information

  • a list of competitors with their strengths and weaknesses

This helps you understand how to position your startup before recording your video.

Yes. StartupPal gives you both a 1-minute elevator pitch and a 3-minute pitch presentation, so you can choose the version that suits your purpose best.

Yes. Before recording, you can edit the script shown in the teleprompter. You can add text, remove text, or change the wording so it sounds more natural and better matches your speaking style.

No. Editing the script only changes the text you will use for that recording. It does not change the underlying AI model or future script generation.

After choosing and editing your script, move to the teleprompter screen and start recording. You can use the teleprompter to read the script while speaking to camera.

Yes. You can change the speed of the teleprompter and adjust the size of the letters to make reading easier while recording.

Try to record in a quiet and well-lit place, keep your phone steady, speak clearly, and look at the camera. It is also a good idea to rehearse once before saving your final version.

Yes, but only before the final save stage. After recording, you can apply video edits depending on your subscription plan.

Depending on your plan, you may be able to use features such as:

  • split
  • adding text
  • adding a logo
  • transitions
  • music or audio
  • background picture or image

Yes. It is strongly recommended to add your contact details in the video so investors can contact you directly. A good place to show them is around 5 to 7 seconds before the video ends.

No. Once you save the video, it becomes final. There are no drafts, and the saved video cannot be edited or changed later. If you want a different version, you must create and record a new video.

When you press Review the Video, StartupPal prepares your video and metadata so you can check everything before the final save.

In Preview, you can see how your video will look. If you want to add something or make changes, you can go back and edit it before saving. If you are happy with the result, you can save the final version.

StartupPal uploads the final video and its metadata to storage. After that, the video is treated as final and cannot be changed.

On the Free Plan, you can create 1-minute and 3-minute video presentations. Your video is saved with a watermark and stored for 7 days.

On the Starter Plan, you can record a 1-minute video, view product insights, split the video, add text, and use transitions. The video can also be uploaded to your device and is stored for 30 days.

No. Starter videos cannot be sent to investors, even if you later upgrade. If you want to send a video to investors, you must upgrade to the Pro Plan and create a new video.

On the Pro Plan, you can add text overlays, music from your device, and a background picture or image. You can also upload the video to your device. Videos stay stored while the subscription is active, and you can use the in-app investor distribution feature.

Yes, but only on the Pro Plan. Pro users can use the investor distribution feature to send their pitch video to selected investors.

The app allows you to choose investor-related categories, such as industry or funding type, and then uses the selected information to help send the video to relevant investors.

Yes. Depending on your plan, the video can be uploaded to your device after creation.

No. StartupPal is designed to make the process simple for founders, even if they have never created a video pitch presentation before.

StartupPal is primarily built to help startups create investor-ready pitch videos, but it can also help founders practise and improve how they present their business.

A good workflow is:

  1. Download the app
  2. Generate your script
  3. Review your AI insights and competitor information
  4. Edit the script
  5. Record with the teleprompter
  6. Edit the video
  7. Review and preview it
  8. Save and share it

Make all your script and video changes before saving. Once the video is saved, it cannot be edited again.
